October 2019

  • Jacolien van Rij and I launched our study Maak dat de kat wijs! , which was featured as a national citizen science project during the Dutch Weekend of Science.

January 2020

  • Interview about maakdatdekatwijs.nl during the Arts Faculty's New-Year's reception.
  • I was a member of the organizing committee for the WAP symposium "Taal en het Brein" (language and the brain) on January 25th 2020 in Amsterdam.
  • On Friday, January 31st, I gave a couple of short lectures on eye tracking research for prospective linguistics students in Groningen.

February 2020

  • Talk at the Groningen symposium on eye tracking research in linguistcs on the L1 advantage in picture naming.
  • March 2020

    • Workshop on formulaic language at the University of Nottingham, UK.

    August 2020

    • Invited talk at the AILA 2020 Symposium on Formulaic Language and Reading, Groningen.

    Since September 2021

    • On-site teaching has started again, and we're slowly picking up lab-work.
    • Radio interview with "de Taalstaat" (NOS Radio 1) about first results of maakdatdekatwijs.nl.
